The renowned Holtkamp croquette was made according to traditional methods for many years in the croquette kitchen on Noorderstraat, Amsterdam (the rear entrance to the Holtkamp shop on Vijzelgracht).
Demand for the croquette has grown so enormously over the years, however, that the kitchen became too small. Holtkamp decided in 2005 to move croquette production to a more suitable location in Sloterdijk. The new croquette kitchen meets the strictest requirements and can boast the latest techniques but the production process has remained the same. The Holtkamp croquette is of the same traditional artisan quality it always has been.
Nice to Meat has developed its own croquette in collaboration with Holtkamp using MRI meat from Piet van den Berg. These unique croquettes, mini croquettes and bitterballen are available exclusively from Nice to Meat!
